Land Star is a truly beautiful stallion who is fantastically well engineered & seriously athletic. He is very trainable & has an incredible temperament. Land Star is by Delaroche Stud’s former stallion Lauriston. Lauriston was bred by Paul Schockemohle. He competed internationally ridden by Jos Lansink & Ben Schroder, winning the German 6yo Championship with a record 9.7 for style. Lauriston is a proven sire of top international competition horses, including Ian Miller’s Athens Olympic horse Promise Me. Lauriston is approved Oldenburg, KWPN (Elite), Hannoverian, Bayern, Selle Francais, IHB, AES. Of note for Sports Pony breeders is the fact that Lauriston is the dam-sire of Jessica Mendoza’s 2011 team Gold & individual Bronze medal winning Team GB pony Tixylix. Land Star’s dam Lara, also an Oldenburg bred by Paul Schockemohle, is by Lando Olympic silver medallist in Sydney. Lara is out of a Quick Star (Meredith Michael-Beerbaums) x Sandro mare.
