CHURCHILL III - THE LEADING SIRE OF FOALS IN GREAT BRITAIN UNDER THE 2023 SPORT HORSE BREEDING OF GREAT BRITAIN FOAL GRADINGS & THE NO 2 SIRE IN 2024.  Churchill III was the sire of the leading foal in the UK "Churchill's Rose" (Churchill III ex Templar Romance) who was the leading foal in Great Britain in 2024 with Sport Horse Breeding of Great Britain Foal Gradings on a National basis under the judging of former Burghley winner Judy Bradwell where she scored a range of 9's and 10.  Churchill III was also the sire of the number 2 graded foal in 2024 (beaten by only 0.05 of a mark from the #1 foal) in Great Britain last year bred by Lucy Nelson out of a full Thoroughbred mare by Heraldik. Churchill III is a jet black 16.2hh beautifully put together naturally uphill stallion who has the very best of Olympic Show Jumping & Olympic Eventing genetics; a foal from his very first crop of foals in 2022 sold to Team GBR Eventing Gold Medallist Millie Julleff. Churchill III was produced beautifully as a 3 and a 4 year old Team GBR's Holly Smith for The Gemini Stud. Churchill has a simply beautiful naturally uphill conformation that he passes on to his foals. His first crop were nothing short of exceptional and all had his striking head, superb fronts, and were consistently all uphill and beautifully balanced - their canters were just breath taking and scored 9's at The Futurity in 2023. Churchill's sire line features the two time Olympic Show Jumper Carthago-Z ridden by Jos Lansink and Carthago-Z also appears in the sire line of Team GBR's Yasmin Ingham's 2022 FEI World Games Individual Eventing Gold Medallist "Banzai Du Loir" who also won Blenheim CCI4*-L in 2021 and more importantly was 2nd at Lexington CCI5* in 2022. Churchill's sire line also features the 1.60m Team GBR Show Jumper Christian-25 who represented Team GBR Show Jumping at 1.60m with Jamie Gornall in 2018. Churchill III shares a very similar exceptional jumping technique to Christian- Churchill is related via Weltmeyer to the 2016 Rio Olympic Eventing Bronze medallist Santano II ridden by Australia's Chris Burton.   Santano led the 2016 Olympic Games after both the Dressage and Cross Country to win bronze and was also one of the few horses to beat Upsilon and pipped him to the post to win Saumur CCI4*-L and again having led from the dressage phase. Churchill's dam the jet black Hanoverian Elite Graded mare Weltmusik has already produced the 4* Eventer The Classic Composer ridden by Harry Meade, she has also produced the WINNING PSG Dressage mare Summer Night City, & the Futurity National Champion across all disciplines Furst Opera who scored a perfect 10 for type. Churchill’s dam also shares extensive dam line breeding with Team GBR Eventer Monkeying Around via both Donnerhall & Weltmeyer.; as both horses have a Donnerhall/Weltmeyer dam line.  Monkeying Around represented Team GBR & was 10th at the 2021 European Eventing Championships in Switzerland with Izzy Taylor. Monkeying Around and Izzy Taylor also won Bramham CCI4*-L in 2022 and are previous 6 year old World Young Horse Eventing Individual Champions at Mondial Du Le Lion. In his first season at stud in 2021 as a 3 year old Churchill was used by mare owners both in the UK and Europe which is a testament to his conformation and jumping ability as a young horse. Churchill III was used on the full sister to Woodstock Bennett who was selected to represent the Australian Eventing Team at the World Equestrian Games (2018) in the USA and 8th at Pau CCI5*. Churchill III  has also been used on the only breeding daughter of Ferndale Victoria who was 3rd at Bramham 4* with Piggy March. As Churchill III has both Olympic Show Jumping & Olympic Eventing bloodlines and has already been used on some exceptional mares he will be very popular again in 2024. Churchill is WFFS Negative. Churchill III represents the perfect sire to use to breed the very best foals for National and International Young Horse Classes & auctions such as:- The Sovereign Auction, The Goresbridge Go For Gold Sale (IRE), Monart Sales (IRE),  The Burghley Young Event Horse Series, British Eventing Young Horse Classes, BSJA Young Horse Classes and of course in the Show Ring.   The Gemini Stud have used and will continue to use Churchill III to breed pure show jumpers, eventers & show horses.
