Hearnesbrook New Moon is a Class 1 Graded Connemara and was Reserve Champion of the SPSS Stallion Gradings in 2021. He was bred by the late Phyll Buxton and was produced under saddle by Ella Dalton.
Moon has very correct conformation, is a lovely mover, has great jumping technique and a fantastic temperament. This versatile pony has won numerous prizes in a variety of disciplines including showing, showjumping, eventing and international performance classes. He has competed up to BE100 eventing, showjumped at Pony Foxhunter (1.10m), qualifying for the Blue Chip Championships.
His main focus has been on Working Hunter Pony Classes, where he has also enjoyed great success. He won at BSPS Heritage Championships, qualifying for the Royal International in 2018, 2019 and 2020. He placed 2nd at the Royal International, 5th at Horse of the Year Show and Won his class at the Royal Windsor in 2019, before being named overall Reserve Champion. New Moon has twice been selected for the British team in the International Peformance classes at both Dublin & Clifden, bringing home prizes on both occasions.
Despite now focussing mainly on breeding, Moon competed at 3 legs of the Cotswold Cup in 2021, finishing 8th, 2nd and 1st, finishing on his dressage score on every occasion. In 2022 he Won Best Mountain & Moorland at the Beaufort Show and was awarded Best British Bred Connemara at the BCPS National Show.
