GreenLanes Jester is a stunning 2014 stallion, homebred in Dorset at the small British GreenLane Stud. Jester has a superb temperament and a wonderful attitude towards both his training and his stud work.
He stood at stud for the 2019 and 2020 season with all mares taking in foal first time. He had a good mix with 2 colts and 3 filly foals. Jester is a very successful competition horse as well, regularly scoring in the mid 70% level and he has qualified for all the regional finals he has entered so far and is a huge favourite with the judges.
Jester has exceptional breeding being by the great stallion Negro and out of a beautiful mare by Florencio out of a Lancet mother.
Jester is produced by the young British rider, Joshua Hill, based in East Sussex and together they have built an excellent relationship. With a very difficult competition season in 2020 due to Coronavirus, Josh and Jester qualified for the 2021 Winter Regional Finals in just 3 tests. With lock down we took the opportunity to concentrate on some of the basics and strengthening work which has really paid dividends, always an impressive horse he is now looking so strong and powerful we are increasingly excited about his competition future.
With his highly expressive paces and super balance and relaxation, we are very excited about Jester’s competition potential for the future. In his assessment with the AES in 2018 he scored a fantastic 9 for his walk and canter and an 8 for his trot work.
His first foals look highly promising. One filly was successfully graded by the Oldenburg Studbook and the judges particularly commented on her beautiful head, super type and uphill build.
Jester continues to be a huge favourite with everyone he meets and has also started a career o n the small screen starring in some equestrian clothing adverts!
With his superb breeding and wonderful temperament, we are sure Jester will be a huge asset to British breeding for many years to come.
All five mares successfully foaled in 2020 with two coals and three fillies. one was successfully graded with the Oldenburg Studbook, none of the others were presented due to Coronavirus.
