Description

Lord Prenwyn (Woody) is a pure Welsh section D event pony stallion who possess some of the very best performance bloodlines. He is a compact, athletic pony, with 3 outstanding paces, exceptional temperament, and incredible presence. Woody has always been brought on slowly ensuring he was produced correctly as he has shown from a young age he inherited his sire’s incredible scope, and careful jump, combined with his dam’s elegant, active paces. Having completed a couple of BE90’s double clear in 2018, In 2019 he gained one of the highest style marks in the Blenheim Eventers Challenge and was placed in the top 10 overall. He was also placed 5th on a double clear at Gatcombe Arena Eventing, being the smallest competitor by far, as well as qualifying for the schools National Eventing championships, only missing out on winning his section due to a couple of xc time penalties. He will be aimed at Pony trials in the coming seasons as he shows an abundance of scope and bravery schooling over BE novice xc. He lives out at home with his younger full brother and regularly hacks out with mares, ridden by a young teenager. His sire Machno Carwyn is the only pony stallion to have won multiple gold medals at the FEI pony championships, with his offspring continuing his success worldwide. His dam won top British Bred and 7th at the BD summer nationals as well as placed in the top 15 in the BE grassroots Championships. His first offspring, out of a TB mare (by Captain Gerrard x Acclamation) is showing a fantastic brain and has inherited his sire’s athleticism and good looks.

Progeny

2015 full brother (gelded) is successfully competing in pure dressage, and with his bravery jumping, will be eventers in the coming seasons.

2022 foal out of a TB mare (Captain Gerrard x Acclamation) gained 8/10 in the SHB(GB) youngstock grading, commenting how Lord Prenwyn very much improved the quality of the offspring, adding a lightness and elegance to the paces.
